It has been 4 years since I introduced the very first CHARIOT Motorbike for sale.
I was not happy with the meager prospects of custom building them as special orders, and you also preferred to purchase the Motorbikes from “on hand” inventory, so I set out to find a way in which I could afford to mass produce them.

In 2006, I informed you that I began negotiating with an overseas motorcycle manufacturer and that I would be making them available soon. I began compiling a list of Companies interested in becoming HAWAIIAN CHARIOT DEALERS. I am now happy to announce to you that I have been successful in establishing HAWAIIAN CHARIOT WHEELCHAIR MOTORBIKES, LLC. This new corporation begins building the “wheelchair specific” vehicles in the Spring, and they become available in the Summer of 2008.

I want to take the time to thank all of you who have been patient and understanding, and stood behind me throughout these long months of delays, setbacks and illness. Your encouragement was a testament of your own high character and goodness. I plan to reward you with extra favor in providing the best service possible so we can bring freedom, mobility and independence to those whom this entire project was focused on from the very beginning. To those companies that signed up as DEALERS in 2006, you can take pride in knowing that it was your participation and support of my efforts that subsequently resulted in todays ultimate success.

All of the safety features and specially designed adaptations that I have been planning to
incorporate in the HAWAIIAN CHARIOTS from the first days of the ideas inception, have been specifically “designed in” and integrated in the vehicles during production.
One main example of this is the triple back up 12 volt electrical system which includes dual heavy duty batteries, solar panels to maintain a healthy 12 volt system at all times, an on- board overnight trickle charger with automatic shutoff, and an on-board emergency jump-start battery pack that is hard-wired directly into the electrical system. If for some reason, despite all these preventive measures, the CHARIOT owner should still find themself with a dead battery, one flip of a switch and power is reinstated automatically. Just drive away safely, continue on down the road and have the CHARIOT’S battery serviced at the first opportunity.
A CHARIOT OWNER WILL NEVER BE STRANDED WITH A DEAD BATTERY.

This is just one example of what makes the CHARIOT the absolutely original and first production model wheelchair specific vehicle made, and available anywhere in the world.

My philosophy is to make it easier for you despite your limitations. Just as long as you are mentally cognizant and have enough upper body strength and dexterity in your hands to Start the CHARIOT, make it Go, Stop it and Control it, the CHARIOT may be ideal for you.

I have been a clinical quadriplegic for more than 25 years, although I have sometimes been considered a functional paraplegic. I myself, through the use of trick manuevers and added adaptations, have been able to enjoy my CHARIOT safely.

If you presently own and operate an automobile or van with hand controls and have been prolifically driving yourself around for some time, you may qualify to own and operate a CHARIOT. A pre-sales application is available for you to fill out that will help us to evaluate your condition and make this determination.

Although it is my wish to see everyone in a wheelchair in a CHARIOT, we have to be realistic and put your safety first. NOT EVERYONE WILL QUALIFY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO SELL A CHARIOT TO ANYONE WHO I DEEM UNSUITABLE AND INCAPABLE.
